Umoja and the Black Student Union at Foothill College, in partnership with Umoja at Mission Valley College, are honored to invite you to our 2026 Black History Month Kickoff event, AI: Ancestral Intelligence.

This event centers on honoring the profound legacy of our ancestors and recognizing how their collective wisdom, leadership, and sacrifice continue to inform our present and shape the future. As previously shared, this kickoff also serves as a moment to pay homage to Historically Black Greek Letter Organizations and community leaders whose enduring commitment to service and justice has strengthened generations.

We are especially honored to feature keynote speaker, the Honorable Robert R. Rigsby, Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Superior Court, whose life and work embody the principles of determination, service, and transformational leadership.
